Zach, Brandon and myself are bringing a show that's become a classic for the three of us to the Carrollwood Cultural Center. We'll be taking the tremendous energy and beauty of Duke Ellington and Count Basie's big band writing and cramming it into a trio.
Ellington and Basie are among Amerca's greatest composers and were principle in creating the modern big band jazz vocabulary. We'll be playing our interpretations of In a Mellow Tone, Caravan, Shiny Stockings, Splanky, Lil' Darlin' and more.
The three of us always bring the fire when we're together. We're going to bring the house down, and you've gotta be there for it!
